Before Me, The Highway

Before me, the highway —
wide, easy,
not without its charms, and yet
safe.
To the side, a rough
narrow
winding wee pathie of a thing,
barely trodden.

I will go.
I will add
to these lightly-trod paths.
And in treading them,
leave them deeper
for those who come after.

(See? It is not all unknown.
Someone has passed this way before.)

Go.
Tread lightly,
but go.
